Baylight is an exciting 1.5km light art trail along the beautiful Morecambe seafront. This year's theme is all about reflecting the part of the coast, whether it is marine life in the Under the Sea parade and the invasion of Giant Tentacles on the Winter Gardens, or the wonder of nature through wave and the beautiful Bioluminescence projection along the shore. There is also a cheeky nod to the fun of the seaside through the Emotisphere and other interactive installations. Featuring work from a range of local, national and international artists, Baylight will be a magical experience for all the family, full of awe inspiring moments and playful interventions in familiar places and spaces. Highest Point Festival returns for it’s return outing in the glorious Williamson Park in Lancaster with headline acts Tom Odell and Busted. Set up in 2018 as a tribute to Chris Glaba, who started A Wing alongside Richard Dyer and Jamie Scahill as well as working at Skiddle. Unfortunately, Chris lost his short battle with cancer 2016. Highest Point’s ultimate goal is to create a legacy music festival, to join all of the other amazing events that happen in the city, that the people of Lancaster can be proud of. Find out more.

The RIBBLE VEHICLE PRESERVATION TRUST will again be operating its popular ‘Vintage Bus Running Day’ in Morecambe Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at the Mazuma Stadium.
With a selection of vintage buses, many from the old local Ribble Company, RVPT will operate a FREE service from Carnforth railway station, Happy Mount Park and Heysham Village to the Morecambe Football Club & Promenade every 10/15 minutes from about 09:30 to 17.00.
This is a great day out for all the family, while parents and grandparents can reminisce, the younger passenger can experience to sounds and smells of the past, chirpy conductors and possibly even try their hand with an old ticket machine. Find out more.
